Thank you ...

... for a friend who kindly gave us a table!!!! It is A5 on lilac card. The decoupage is again from Cupcake Crafts Oriental CD. Finished off with a piece of ribbon, a peel-off and three gems.

New Home Card Commission ...

... for a friend. A6 red card (yes, I know it looks pink ... it's the flash, and that is my excuse and I am sticking to it!). Have made a ruffled oval aperture, using Wizard Nestabilities, and an image printed on vellum from Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams CD. The frame and the cabachon with the "new home" peel-offs are made from wood-type paper (looks and feels like wood!). I used a Sakura glitter pen to go round the edges of the ovals. To finish it off I have used a red organza ribbon with a chinese coin on the bottom.

Two "Thinking of You" cards ...

... for my Dad and Aunt. They are both on A5 card and the images are from Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams CD, printed on vellum - cut out octagonal aperatures and frames using Wizard dies. The ruffled ovals are also done by using Wizard dies and finished off with peel-offs.

"Thinking of You" card & DCM "Inside Out" challenge ...

Inside and Out
Hi everyone Gillian here, and it's my turn to dare you all
this week
I dare you to take the design of your card to the inside as well as
the outside.
Add a little finishing touch to match the theme on the
outside,or Surprise the receiver with a flap, foldout, decorated journal block
to write on,or one of those pop-out delights....It really adds so much to a card
when there is attention to detail on the insideas well as the outside. I know
some of you are finished your Christmas cards alreadyso this week it's Any
theme, Christmas or notBut make the inside count too :)

... for a friend. I made this using the Cupcake Crafting Oriental Origins CD. It is printed onto A6 linen card, and a decoupage of the orchid is also on linen card. The "Thinking of You" peel-off to finish it. I have also included an insert of the same image.

Anniversary card commission ...

... for a friend, who wanted it for another friend. It is for a platinum anniversary ... so I used shiny silver mirri card and a lily from Cupcake Crafting Oriental Origins CD, that was decoupaged. Finished off with a ruffled oval from Glitter Girls Majestic board on gold mirri card, a peel off and an organza ribbon for the final touches. Inside had a pop-out heart. It was a bit difficult to photograph because of the reflections!

New Home Card ...

... for some friends who are moving into a flat together this week. I made it using the Glitter Girls Celebration board ... and using the "fascination" detail. I have just done different layers on different card and then it is layered up using 3D foam and DST. Finished off with peel-offs.

Two simple ...

... thank you cards I made this afternoon. They were made using an image from Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams CD and printed onto vellum. Then the images were cut out using Wizard nestabilities. The blue card is linen A6 and the vellum is on an oval aperture, so that it can be seen through and finished off with peel-offs and Sakura glitter pen round the edge of the nestability. The octagonal card was cut using the largest of the octagonal Wizard dies and it is handmade card. Finished off with peel-offs.

Andrew & Yvonne Anniversary card...

... wanted something a bit different, so went down the flippex route this time, mounted on an A5 card printed with Joanna Sheen Victorian Companion 3CD background paper, the frame being made from the Glitter Girls Majestic board. Finished off with 2 octagons cut using a Wizard die, the one underneath was also embossed with a cuttlebug, and a vellum butterfly which is also a Wizard die, and finished off with a few peel-offs.

David and Roma Anniversary ...

... decided to go down the oriental route with this one. All the images and backgrounds are taken from Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams CD. A5 linen card printed with pale yellow flower background, and then the background paper on top, vellum printed with the same background is torn and attached on top with brads. The toppers are matted and layered on silver mirri card - the two outer ones are on 3D foam, and the middle one is on DST. Happy Anniverary peel-off to finish it off.

Cruise ship ...

... anniversary card. A5 lilac card, with background silk paper printed from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion set and also printed on vellum which was then torn and laid over the top of the background paper and attached with purple brads. The cruise ship was backed onto gold mirri card, as was the Happy Anniversary sentiment (which is 3D). Finished off with a die cut gold mirri shell, and a silver die cut mirri anchor.

A dog ate the last one ... (& DCM Gold Challenge - 2nd go)

... the last Golden Anniversary card ... so was asked to make a replacement. So I came up with this simple exploding box ... gold coloured card with gold mirri board panels, embossed with various designs for the Glitter Girls boards, and embellished with gems and peel-offs.
Inside another gold mirri board in the centre, embossed with Glitter Girls rings from the Celebration board, topped with a champagne bottle and two glasses of champagne printed on acetate. Two of the four panels have sequin hearts, and peel-offs.
The lid also is made of the same gold card with a gold mirri panel ... embossed with the flower from the Bookatrix board. A ribbon and some peel-offs and a golden rose to finish it off with a tag also from the Bookatrix board to write on.

Was asked for ...

... 10 plain cards for a friend who wanted them. These are again made from the kit I got from Ideal World/Create & Craft back in July. I also made a box to hold them.

Again (and DCM Golden Challenge) ...

Going back over my cards I seem to have a liking for gold as an accent colour.
So this week I'd like you to make a card for any season or occasion but must
include gold somewhere. It could be a brad, metallic card, heat embossing,
ribbon, anything at all as long as it's gold.

... another commission for the same couple but this time from the daughter-in-law ... but with a request for it to be bigger and better ... I said I couldn't do bigger ... but I hope I have achieved better!!! A5 gold card ... again with Glitter Girls boards ... this time the Majestic board for the flower, and gems and peel-offs to finish it off. Also the same board for the ruffled oval and more peel-offs. Leaves are from the Bookatrix board and an organza ribbon. Inside there are champagne glasses from the new Glitter Girls Celebration board ... finished off with glitter glue to make the bubbles and foam!!

Finally a box ... again made using the Coppernob M&F board and embellished with an embossed flower from the Glitter Girls Celebration board with a gem and an acetate window.

Friday 9 November 2007

Another 50th Anniversary Commission ...

... for the same couple as the last one ... so this one is similar, but different!!! A5 gold card, Glitter Girls Romance board used for the decorative edge. The flowers are double layered and made from ivory and bronze pearlescent card and embossed from the Glitter Girls Majestic board with a gem in the centre, and the leaves are from the Bookatrix board. A few peel-offs to complete it. A box completes with an acetate window in it, made on the Coppernob M&F board ... this is embellished with another flower, but this time it is only one layer and a gem for the centre, finished off with a peel off.

DCM Challenge- CUT!Any theme goes,so for those of you needing a break from
Christmas crafting this is the perfectopportunity to have a change. All styles

... by a friend for her husband for their 12th Anniversary. As you can tell, he has a love of whisky, being Scottish may have something to do with it!!! Anyway it is an A5 card, and printed on white linen, which is attached to a pearlescent ivory card. The bottle image was also printed on acetate, cut out and stuck on top of the image printed on the card. Finished off with a red organza ribbon with a Wizard buckle. Inside is a whisky glass again printed on acetate, cut out and stuck down. I also made a box with an acetate window, finished with a few peel-offs! (Sorry about the flash flare!)

Anniversary card commission ...

... with a request to include something for a baby, as the couple had just had one ... hence the Sizzix teddy on the inside. A6 double sided pearlised ivory card ... I deckle edged all the sides. The front is embossed with the heart cuttlebug background. The bronze topper has been embossed with the cuttlebug champagne flutes. Ribbon wrapped round it with a Wizard embossed slider. Finished off with peel-offs.

Robert & Heather ...

... anniversary card. The rose image is taken from Joanna Sheen Fabulous Flowers CD and is decoupaged onto a background hessian sheet also from the same CD ... the main card being of dark green. Just a few peel-offs to finish it off.
