... two awards this week ... one from Wendy (Antaurus) and another from Denise (Lavendar Rose) ... I am truly grateful to these fabulous crafters, who make amazing cards to be thought worthy. Thank you ladies very much I really appreciate you thinking of me.
... one is for a lady, to say "thank you" for some books, and the other is for a man. The lady's one (A6) is made using all Wizard dies, and finished off with gems and peel-offs. The man's one (A5) is from Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams CD ... again finished off with gems and peel-offs and a Wizard tag. Front and back of both cards are shown (sorry for the 'wonky' pictures!). Thank you for looking.
... for someone who kindly gave us some fresh caught trout yesterday evening, already filleted (thank goodness, I can't stand doing that!). Guess what is for supper tonight?!?!
This is an A5 gatefold card in pale blue. The background and the seagulls are from Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams CD. One of the fish is from Jayne Netley Mayhew's CD. The other fish and the flies are from a Wizard die. The sun and grass are cut from foam using Quickutz dies. A fishing rod is made from a BBQ skewer and some gold thread for the line to complete it. Thanks for looking.
... card for a young couple who have just got their first flat. A6 yellow card, brown background matted with gold mirri card. The base card was embossed with Cuttlebug bubbles. Wizard keys, heart padlock and buttons, and a Cuttlebug slider. Finished off with peel-offs, brad and some silver thread in the buttons.
... aka Lavendar Rose ... very kindly awarded me the other day with this, and I feel really privileged. I have spent the last few days trying to think of people I can pass it on to ... but unfortunately, I can't fill all the criteria. So many thanks Denise ... for your kind comments and the award.
... for Sharon Duncan ... she said as she was on a diet she couldn't eat chocolate and wanted something nice, but not fattening ... I hope this fits the bill. Found it on a website and it took me all afternoon on Sunday to make it!! I have posted it to her.
... card for some friends. It image is from the Jayne Netley Mayhew CD. The complimentary background was printed directly from the same CD onto a piece of A4 white card. I matted the picture using silver mirri card and nestabilities. The label is also made using a Wizard die and silver mirri card, finished with peel-offs and a gem. My "signature" three gems in the top corner and an organza ribbon to complete it. I have photographed the front and the back. Thanks for looking.
... one for the wife of a friend who lost her husband, and one for his mother. Both are printed on A5 and the images come from Oriental Origins CD from Cupcake Crafts. Finished off very simply with gems and peel-offs.
... the brief was "neat and simple". A6 white linen card with an image from Joanna Sheen's Hollywood CD of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers printed onto linen card and matted onto silver mirri card. Words also printed onto linen card and matted on silver mirri. Finished off with organza ribbon and pearls. Photographed both front and back.
... that I have been making for the last few days ... 86 in total ... 33 day time ones (Wedding and Reception) ... these are A5 in size ... and 53 evening invites for the party ... these are A6. Both are cream with tartan ribbon and buckles ... big or small and the night time ones have a Wizard butterfly on them. I have deleted the detail from the day time invite but hope you like them all the same. There is a picture of the outside and inside of each one.
PS ... Have done another 20 night-time invites since this was posted!!!
... has been given to me by Ann Whitfield a couple of days ago (sorry been tied up doing stuff!) ... for which I am truly grateful, as I am not sure that I deserve it. I now have to find 7 people to hand it on to ... and that is the difficult bit!!! I will do my best to find them and list them below. These are people whose blog's I try (!) to look at on a regular basis and I find them inspirational.
... made using an image from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Romance CD. The image was cut out using Wizard nestability and mounted on an A6 acetate card. Some flowersoft has been aded to the flowers. Front and back of card shown.
... card for someone who did something really special!!! It is A5 in size with an image and background from Joanna Sheen's Jayne Netley Mayhew's CD. And basically finished off with gems and peel-offs ... a very simple card.
