Claire & Peter Anniversary Card ...

... for this I have used Sharon Duncan's Diamond Anniversary CD and printed out the ivory couple onto glossy card and stuck it onto a red card with 3D foam ~ shaped with a diamond top!!! There is a gem in the necklace. Also printed out was a banner, which has "Happy Anniversary" peel-offs on it.

Jaki & Robert Anniversary ...

... this time, I went down the easy route ... using a kit I bought from Create and Craft/Ideal World that they had as a pick of the day a while back. I decoupaged the flower, added three gems (!), and finished it off with the Wedding Anniversay peel-off, and hey presto ~ one anniversary card!!!

DCM Animal Challenge & A thank you card ...

... for a friend. As you can probably guess she is fake fur crazy!!! So I thought this would be the ideal gift, as she is also a shoe-aholic!!! It also fits the "Where the wild things are" ~ Animal ~ Challenge. This looks even better in real life, as the fur really shines although it is only printed on silk inkjet paper.
It is about A6 size, on yellow card and brown card. I have used leopard backing papers from Joanna Sheen's Animal Antics CD, and I used the Coppernob Elegant Shoe template. Very simply finished off with 3 gems and some peel-offs, and a bow. (Picture doesn't do it justice ~ colourwise ... the background fur is similar in colour to the yellow card!)

Tom & Molly Anniversary Card ...

... have been agonizing over this card for about a week, and the anniversary is this week, so I thought I ought to make it! Finally inspiration struck!!! A5 cream card with background paper from Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams CD and the matching toppers, backed onto blue card. A separate blue panel with Happy Anniversary peel-off, organza ribbon and a Wizard buckle. My favourite embellishment (well, apart from cuttlebug's that is!) the three gems. Have used one of the smallest toppers on the back to follow the theme, and there is also an insert with one on too. Hope you like my effort.

Another anniversary card ...

... for friends. Again, tapestry card, but this time a pink fan from the Glitter Girls Elegance and Fantasy Board. Extra fan panels in pale green card are on 3D foam pads to make them stand out. Paper roses, leaves, peach organza ribbon and peel-offs for embellishment. Cabachon made from cameo Wizard die lightly chalked, also on 3D foam pads.

Silver Anniversary Pop-out Card ...

... another commission! This time a 25th anniversary card for a friend's friend. It is A5 white tapestry card, both inside and out. The front has a silver panel with a piece of white organza ribbon wrapped round it with a Wizard buckle. There are two panels on top of that, matted with more tapestry card (how generous am I?) and cuttlebug embossed with bells, and champagne flutes. Finished off with Happy 25 Anniversary. Inside the heart was embossed from the Glitter Girls Romance board and cut out. The backing sheet is a piece of vellum I printed on with 25th Anniversary, and Silver Anniversary in silver colour. The cut out heart is stuck on top of the vellum with the peoples names (Paul & Christine). To finish off an cuttlebug embossed panel on the left and the greetings on the right, both on silver panels, and peel-offs.

A card in a hurry! (+ DCM Challenge - A Golden Moment)

As a quick request for a friend. A6 yellow card, with a topper from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion 3 CD set, held on with brads and a peel-off down one side. It also has an insert with the same image, and one of the small toppers on the back too.
Again I am cheating for the DCM challenge!!! This is one I made last week, but I think it fits the "golden moment" remit!!! Hope you agree.

This time we are giving you just One Word
as the inspiration for your card making and that word is GOLDEN You can use the
word in any way you like - the word itself doesn't even have to be on the card,
for instance you could make a card in golden shades, or maybe inspired by the
seasons of Spring or Autumn which both feature lots of golden
colours.

Handbag card ...

... for a friend who has just go a new job.
It is made using silver snake skin paper from Coppernob, the Glitter Girls board with the bag on it (I think it is called "dressed to impress"!), and embellished with peel-offs. Inside is a mandala from Joanna Sheen's Fabulous Flowers CD.

Monday, 10 September 2007

Rose Bookatrix ...

I made this using the Glitter Girls Bookatrix Board. The three page layers are - grey, rose, rose hessian backing sheet printed from Joanna Sheen's Fabulous Flowers CD. The rose mandala was also from the same CD decoupaged up with foam pads, along with a central rose. A few peel-offs and a cream organza ribbon to finish it off.

The paper used for the flowers is from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion 3 CD set. I have used vellum for the butterfly wizard die, and lightly chalked it. Finished off with a few peel-offs.

DCM Text Message Challenge - 6 July 2007

This weeks challenge:
TEXT... definition... the main body of matter in a book or manuscript. the actual wording of anything written or printed, short passage of scripture, etc
We'd like you to somehow incorporate text into your cards this week - not just one word.. but a portion of TEXT... like a poem, or newspaper print, Caligraphy, Even rip up an old text book and use some of the paper from it, there are masses of possibilities here, so let your imaginations run riot and let us see you texting to your heart's content!

This is an A5 card. I have used a cuttlebug embossed words as a background to a picture from Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams CD ... embelleshed with "thinking of you" embossed onto vellum and attached with a hinge. Finished off with three gems.

2 Different Joanna Sheen CD's cards ...

... as thank you's.

Red Hat ...

... I made this after a request for a red one on Joanna Sheen's forum!!!

Hat card ...

... I made today for Zoe's groomer ... she actually went yesterday, but I didn't get time to make it then ... so took it today.

It is made from one of the templates that were demonstrated on C&C last week, by a lovely young lady called Kim, I think. The background paper is from Joanna's Oriental Dreams CD, and peel offs and ribbon and Wizard slider are the embellishments.

Apologies ... it was photographed on my cutting mat ... which does it not justice at all!! Sorry.

Sympathy Card ...

... was requested by a friend.

A6 white linen card with an image from Joanna Sheen Oriental Dreams CD, matted onto a piece of holographic card. Peel-offs and gems as embellishments.

DCM Gimme Some Lovin' Challenge

I made this card not only for the challenge, but because it is also our 16th Anniversary on Sunday!! So I thought what a great opportunity to combine the two.

I make this A5 card using the Joanna Sheen Hollywood CD, and the picture is on a background of cuttlebug heart embossed on silver mirri card! A little piece of mirri card corner stamped on two sides with a heart and a piece of card inserted with 'Happy Anniversary' on it!!

Farewell card ...

... for a friend who is leaving the area. She likes clothes ... don't we all!!

This is made using the Joanna Sheen Victorian Companion 3CD Set, including the matching backing paper. The fan and the gloves were done on a
Wizard and embossed too. I have also sacrificed a tassel!!

the Glitter Girls Romance board and layering up with a second layer which was embellished with 4 diamonds and the background was some of the Royal Stewart Tartan as requested. A white rose bunch with organza ribbon bow. Paisley tartan embellishments made using Cuttlebug dies. (Loved these.)

The insert is a Cuttlebug (surprise, surprise) champagne glasses embossed on vellum and stuck on to some tartan. Embellished with peel-offs. The back was just finished off with a piece of diamond tartan with a handmade peel-off.

A congratulations card ...

... for a friend.

I used the 'framey' board from the Glitter Girls for the basic shape down the centre. Flowersoft was used to cover the body of the sheep (which was a cut down Quickutz die flower). The grass and sun are also Quickutz dies.
